The Town of Moriah (population 5000) consists of four hamlets (Moriah, Moriah Center, Mineville, and Witherbee) and the Village of Port Henry. Fishing and hunting licenses may be purchased at the Town of Moriah Offices at 38 Park Place, open 9 to 4 Monday through Friday, next to the Iron Center. The Town Supervisor, Town Clerks, a code enforcement officer, tax assessors and a bookkeeper staff the office; (the police station and courthouse are next door.)
